Oriental Garlic is a species of onion originated in Thailand. It is a perennial plant. Has a distinctive growth habit with strap-shaped leaves. The bulb is narrowly linear with a diameter of 0.8-1.5 cm, attached to the rhizome. Flower-bearing stem is 60–70 cm high. Leaves are long 35–60 cm, flat, fleshy, 0.8–1.2 cm wide, dark green in color, with a slight waxy coating. It produces many white flowers collected in dense spherical umbrellas.
